Job Description

Windstream is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Outside Plant (OSP) construction team, you will be responsible for coordinating the design, permitting, material acquisition, construction, and tie-in of outside plant construction projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
  • Manage complex circuit installations via SMB Fiber to the premise delivery
  • Conceptualize and budget projects and programs, including route development, estimate costs, and project scheduling
  • Identify pole ownership, right of way, and permit requirements for proposed routes
  • Communicate with city, county, and state permitting agencies
  • Work with private property owners to secure easements and licenses
  • Recommend contractors and negotiate contracts
  • Develop construction bid documents and bid analysis
  • Complete and secure city, state, and county permit applications
  • Monitor contractor progress and ensure timely turnover of assigned projects

Requirements:

  • College degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 0-2 years of professional level experience
  • Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong technical communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Able to analyze problems and priorities and make decisions
  • Able to provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Able to be assertive and escalate with various internal departments and external teams as needed
