Job Summary

CyrusOne is seeking a highly skilled Senior Director & Senior Corporate Counsel, Commercial to support corporate legal initiatives primarily in connection with customer relationships, corporate transactions, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team in leading negotiation and drafting lease agreements, master service agreements, statements of work, service level agreements, and other customer-related documentation.
  • Coordinate with business and legal stakeholders to negotiate and deliver financeable, complex data center real estate leasing products to customers.
  • Ensure contracts and agreements comply with applicable laws, regulations, company debt documents, and company policies.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal and contractual matters, including contract interpretation, rights, and obligations.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting sales and customer agreements, including leases.
  • Support the Assistant General Counsel in maintaining an effective internal compliance program.
  • Manage and evaluate outside counsel as directed by the Assistant General Counsel.
Requirements
  • 10-12 years' experience as a practicing lawyer, with prior experience with a national law firm preferred and in-house experience a plus.
  • Relevant experience in commercial transactions, with a preference for candidates with experience in data center leasing or service agreements and commercial real estate transactions.
  • General corporate experience and exposure to and/or familiarity with real estate and asset-level financing.
  • International experience a plus.
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills, with the ability to set priorities and work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-manage projects, with strong project management skills.
