Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement state learning standards and district curriculum to meet rigorous academic expectations.
  • Deliver content and grade-level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts.
  • Create and submit weekly lesson plans.
  • Track scholar progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly, updating the grade book weekly.
  • Utilize technology to improve scholar achievement and manage work-related tasks.
  • Implement a consistent behavior management system aligned with restorative practices and a zero suspension policy.
  • Participate in manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, duties, and school-wide meetings.
  • Attend summer and year-long training sessions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrate competency in the assigned core academic subject area
  • Previous success working with second language learners and diverse backgrounds

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $65,000 - $85,000 annual salary range, depending on experience
  • Comprehensive benefits plan, covering most of the employee premium for the base medical plan and subsidizing costs for a spouse/domestic partner and children
  • Dental and vision plans, disability, life insurance, parental leave, subsidized childcare, paid time off, referral bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan
