Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Trainee to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in logistics and transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete a comprehensive training program focusing on classroom instruction and practical driving skills.
  • Assist experienced drivers in completing routes while actively learning the necessary skills to obtain a CDL permit and eventually a Class A license.
  • Maintain satisfactory feedback from instructors and driver/coaches during the training program.
  • Successfully enroll in CDL school and obtain a CDL permit license within the first 45 days of the training program.
  • Achieve defined performance expectations during the initial 90-day probationary period of the program.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to use or learn to use all equipment, global positioning systems (GPS), and tools used to perform the job.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including applying tire chains if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of experience operating heavy motor vehicle equipment and/or one year of experience as a warehouse selector in a foodservice or comparable product environment preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000-$60,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additionally, US Foods, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
