Healthcare Professional for Observation Unit

Job Summary
\Nebraska Medical Center is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team in the Observation Unit. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.
\About the Role
\We are offering a 13 or 26 week contract option with a 36 or 48 hour work schedule. The Observation Unit provides care to patients who require evaluation and treatment for a period of 8 to 48 hours. This may include patients with chest pain, asthma, abdominal pain, kidney stones, and minor infections.
\Responsibilities
\- \
- Provide direct patient care, including administering IV antibiotics, fluids, insulin drips, nitro for blood pressure, TP and lipids.\
- Evaluate and treat patients within an 8 to 48 hour timeframe.\
- Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs.\
- Maintain accurate EPIC charting records.\
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.\\/ul\[
Requirements
\- \
- BLS, ACLS, NIH certification required.\
- Prior telemetry experience preferred, especially in large urban hospitals.\
- EPIC charting experience necessary.\
- No first-time candidates accepted (exceptions made for travelers with 2 years of experience at a Level 1 Academic Medical Center).\
- 100% nicotine-free facility policy enforced.\
- Weekend requirement: two weekends in a four-week schedule period.\\/ul\[
