Private Markets Researcher

iCapital is seeking a seasoned professional to join its Research and Education team as a Vice President. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough due diligence on Private Capital funds, authoring comprehensive reports, and providing expert insights to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead investment and operational due diligence on Private Capital managers, ensuring high-quality reports and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends in private equity, private credit, and real estate, and effectively communicate this knowledge to the Investment team.
- Source new managers, perform initial screenings, and identify top candidates for further consideration.
- Manage the due diligence projects pipeline, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports and recommendations.
- Prepare marketing and education materials on various products and strategies for clients, highlighting the investment merits of current products and trends in private capital investing.
- 10+ years of experience in financial services, with 5-7 years of experience conducting due diligence on private capital managers.
- Prior experience focusing on fund manager evaluations and demonstrating qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to present complex information to senior professionals in the industry.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
iCapital provides a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $165,000 to $190,000, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
