Job Overview
Hawaii State Department of Education is seeking a skilled Communication Specialist IV to join their team. This role will involve working with students, parents, and school personnel to assess and improve communication skills.

Estimated Salary: $62,222 - $69,170 per month.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess student communicative performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance communication skills in the natural environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that address specific communication needs.
• Provide speech-language services to students, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.
• Consult with parents and caregivers to provide guidance on supporting their child's communication development.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Requirements:
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution.
• Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Valid Hawaii State Speech Pathologist License from the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (Professional and Vocational Licensing Division).
• At least one year of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
