Heart and Lung Transplant Nurse Specialist

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Heart and Lung Transplant team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide Direct Patient Care: Implement and monitor patient care plans, monitor and record patient condition, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Coordinate Patient Care: Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs, and assess educational needs of patients and families.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Provide Education and Support: Provide teaching and educational material as appropriate, validate and document patient and family understanding of teaching, and maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN preferred.
- Certifications: Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA), and other certifications as required by the facility.
- Work Experience: Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings.
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
