Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Courtroom Clerk to provide support to our judicial officers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend court sessions and record minutes of actions and proceedings
  • Prepare and maintain court records, including filing and retrieving documents
  • Provide administrative support to judicial officers, including answering phones and responding to emails
  • Assist with the preparation of court calendars and schedules
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
  • Equivalent to graduation from high school and two years of responsible legal, court or judicial office support experience
  • Thorough knowledge of legal forms, documents, and terminology
  • Considerable knowledge of the Rules of Court and court-related sections of the Civil Code, Code of Civil Procedures, Evidence Code, Probate Code, Penal Code, Health and Safety Code, Vehicle Code, and Government Code
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in formal courtroom settings and work independently with minimal supervision
Working Conditions

The Courtroom Clerk will work in a fast-paced courtroom environment and be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
