Key Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision, the specialist must be able to acquire and maintain specialized technical skills and medical knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Prior experience is preferred but not required, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory for this position.
  • Registry eligibility or certification within one year of hire is highly desirable.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrates safe and knowledgeable practice skills based on theory and consistent with policies and procedures.
  • Able to prepare and administer IV contrast safely.
  • Awareness of abnormal structures and ability to correlate information into useful studies.
  • Ability to adapt techniques when necessary and develop new ones.
  • Familiarity with ancillary devices such as selected transducers.
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Windows desktop applications and navigation.
