Substance Abuse Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Red River Recovery Center in Dilworth, MN.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals struggling with addiction. As a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), you will provide comprehensive treatment plans, education, and support to clients and their families.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of evidence-based treatment approaches, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients with substance abuse disorders.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals.
• Offer education and support to clients and their families regarding addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment approaches.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress notes.
• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions.

• Valid licensure as an LADC in the state of Minnesota.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• Experience in providing counseling services to individuals dealing with substance abuse disorders.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches and therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
