At Avera McKennan- Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate professional to contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

About the Role

This Neurodiagnostic / EEG Tech position offers a unique blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills. As an Electrophysiology Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting EEGs, monitoring patient conditions, and maintaining medical equipment in a collaborative healthcare environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional compensation for call pay, weekend and evening/night differential pay, and other benefits.

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting EEGs, continuous long term monitoring EEG studies, and scheduled Outpatient EEG studies for pediatrics and adults
  • Initiating proper interventions based on interpretation of changes in the patient's condition
  • Calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting medical and general support equipment
  • Completing testing for reports, charging procedures, preparing patient rooms, stocking supplies, and contacting supervisory staff when appropriate

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of EEG/
    EEG/Neurodiagnostics Technology
  • Registration in EEG (R. EEG T.) or evoke potentials (R. EP T.) from the American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist within two years of accepting the position
