IT Support Specialist 3

Advance American Tech, Inc. is seeking an IT Support Specialist 3 to join our team in Metro Atlanta. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support for our DDS systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with PC, laptop, scanners, and network printers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, with experience in Windows 10 client and Windows Server environment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting basic network connectivity issues, using commands such as ping, ip config, etc. and using network tools to analyze data, recognize problems and draw logical conclusions.
You will also be responsible for submitting trouble tickets through GETS Remedy system and working closely with application and hardware vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Additionally, you will manage asset inventory and submit equipment orders.
This is a full-time position that requires up to 70% travel to DDS statewide customer service centers. You will be required to work independently and with vendors as needed, and must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and support PC, laptop, scanners, and network printers
- Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues

- Travel to DDS statewide customer service centers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field such as computer and information technology, computer science, software engineering
- Three years of related experience
- Professional certification (e.g. A+, Network+, Cloud+ or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Government or corporate IT experience supporting users in a Windows 10 client and Windows Server environment
- At least three years demonstrated knowledge of basic network troubleshooting

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing technical environment and variable workloads
Work Environment:
This position requires up to 70% travel to DDS statewide customer service centers. You will be required to work independently and with vendors as needed.
