About the Job:
\We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team in Pecos, Texas for a 13-week travel assignment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
\Responsibilities:
\- \
- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.\
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.\
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.\
- Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.\
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and open communication.\
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and stay current with industry developments.\
- Assist with routine tasks, such as charting, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.\
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.\
- Care for patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring invasive procedures and life-sustaining interventions.\
- Document patient responses to treatments, medication administrations, and other significant events.\
- Monitor patients' vital signs, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and escalate concerns to supervisors or consultants when necessary.\
- Communicate changes in patient status to family members and other healthcare providers in a timely manner.\
- Assess patient needs and provide support during times of crisis or uncertainty.\
- Engage in peer review and quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and departmental performance.\
- Promote patient satisfaction by addressing concerns, providing education, and fostering a sense of empowerment.\
- Support the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to patient care and safety.\
- Identify areas for improvement and suggest evidence-based solutions to enhance patient care and departmental operations.\
- Participate in staff meetings, educational programs, and other activities designed to promote collaboration and professional growth.\
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of practice.\
- Cultivate effective working relationships with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.\
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.\
- Respond promptly to call bells, alarms, and other notifications.\
- Be available for overtime and rotate weekend shifts as needed.\
- Follow hospital protocols for infection control, medication administration, and other critical processes.\
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.\
- Engage in continuous learning to expand knowledge and skills relevant to the role.\
- Practice cultural competence and sensitivity when interacting with patients and their families.\
- Attend mandatory training sessions and participate in regular evaluations and feedback sessions.\
- Report any incidents or near-miss events to supervisors or risk management.\
- Document adverse events and near misses according to hospital policies.\
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.\\/\

Requirements:
\To be eligible for this opportunity, you should have:
