We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Services Assistant to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a key member of our nursing department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

The ideal candidate will have certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT, or commensurate experience, as well as previous ESA/PCA experience. Bi-lingual skills and knowledge of medical terminology are also highly valued.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the RN with clinical tasks, including glucometry, EKGs, and vital signs. You will also respond to the needs of patients and family members, taking a proactive role in the efficient operation of the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the RN with clinical tasks, including glucometry, EKGs, and vital signs.
  • Respond to the needs of patients and family members, taking a proactive role in the efficient operation of the unit.
  • Qualifications:
    • Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT, or commensurate experience required.
    • Previous ESA/PCA experience required.
    • Nursing student who has completed her/his fundamentals of nursing with a clinical component (clinical rotation or simulation lab) preferred.
    • Bi-lingual skills preferred.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Red Cross required upon hire.
