Athletic Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at UNC Health Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical athletic training services to our student-athletes, including injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and reconditioning.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and implement an effective athletic training program for Clayton High School Athletics.
- Provide first aid and injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to student-athletes.
- Coordinate annual athletic physicals and supervise clearance of injured athletes.
- Maintain communication with team physicians regarding athletic healthcare and recommended treatment.
- Assist coaching staff in evaluating and implementing sport-specific conditioning programs.
- Maintain a safe and efficient athletic training room.
- Communicate with parents regarding student-athlete care and treatment.
- File reports associated with athletic injuries and incidents.
- Oversee ordering of supplies and equipment for the athletic training room.
- Provide professional literature to coaching staff relative to athletic training.
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification.
- Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners or license eligible.
- BLS for healthcare providers.
- One year of experience as an athletic trainer preferred.
This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a State employed position.
