Emergency Department Charge Nurse Leader

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Charge Nurse to lead our team with confidence and expertise. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, while ensuring the smooth operation of our emergency department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff during assigned shifts, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Evaluate daily patient needs and develop effective care plans, utilizing your clinical expertise to drive quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers to ensure seamless patient care transitions and optimal treatment plans.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, identifying and mitigating potential risks and hazards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure informed decision-making and shared understanding.
- Mentor and educate nursing staff on best practices, promoting professional growth and development.
- Contribute to performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and coaching to support staff success.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensure.
- One year of experience as a registered nurse in an emergency setting.

- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA)
