Facilities Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Repair Technician to join our team at Goodwill of the Finger Lakes. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services for our organization's facilities, including general upkeep, grounds maintenance, and equipment repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Facilities Supervisor with grounds keeping, including maintaining outside areas, grounds, walks, and parking areas.
- Perform repairs to Goodwill-owned and leased buildings and equipment.
- Assist with the upkeep of our facilities, including performing preventive periodic maintenance, recycling collection duties, and cleaning designated areas.
- Maintain building and ground security by inspecting assigned areas and locking up the building at the end of each business day.
- Assist with the movement and/or relocation of furniture and equipment at all Goodwill locations as directed by the Facility Manager.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the organization and department by performing all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance, including painting, basic HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
- Ability to obtain a 3rd Class Stationary Engineering License preferred.
- Must have a clean driver's license and own vehicle.
- On-Call availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
Working Conditions:
- Frequently works in outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places.
- Exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
