Sterile Processing Technician II

As a Sterile Processing Technician II at Catholic Health Initiatives, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care by ensuring the proper processing and sterilization of medical instruments. This position requires a strong understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Process and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are safe for patient use.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Provide preceptor support to new employees and participate in educational programs to enhance team knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operation of the department and meet customer needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- CRCST certification required within one year of hire.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a sterile processing technician.
