The Role
As a Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT) for pediatric patients within the home health setting. You will direct the patient and the caregiver as outlined in the treatment plan in collaboration with a Physical Therapist to restore, reinforce and/or enhance performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical treatment to patients as directed by PT supervisor.
- Consult with supervisor on patient progress and maintains appropriate records.
- Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines.
- Maintain appropriate communication with PT supervisor regarding progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic process.
- Maintain and complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain adequate caseload with appropriate productivity.
- Attend Continuing Education activities and expand scope of service.
- Responsible for the maintenance of supplies and equipment.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve company and departmental goals.
- Serve as the backup service provider for other caseloads as needed.
- Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associates degree as a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Current state-issued professional licensure.
- Valid state driver license.
- CPR certified.
- Pediatric clinical experience preferred.
- Home health experience preferred.
Compensation
Our estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
