Overview

IU Health Physicians is seeking a skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Pulmonary Critical Care team in Indianapolis, IN. This is a PRN opportunity for coverage as needed, based on availability. The ideal candidate will have experience in ICU and be certified in CCRN. The team includes 30 physicians and 30 APPs, and the patient population includes critically ill medical and surgical patients. The responsibilities of this role include cross-covering for ICU, new admissions, and responding to Code Blue and RRT calls. Procedures include intubations, central and arterial line insertion, and chest tube insertions. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cross-cover for ICU, new admissions, and respond to Code Blue and RRT calls.
  • Perform procedures such as intubations, central and arterial line insertion, and chest tube insertions.

Qualifications
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification required.
  • Previous ICU experience required.
  • CCRN certification required.
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience required.
