Job Overview

Betacom is seeking a highly skilled Tower Technician to join our team. As a Tower Technician, you will be responsible for leading and assisting in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and support structures.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety. You will work with a variety of equipment, including mechanical tools and electro-mechanical devices. The ideal candidate will have experience working at heights and in extreme weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Climb and work on communications towers for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment.
  • Assist in the construction and installation of new towers, as well as maintaining existing ones.
  • Collaborate with the Tower Foreman to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate effectively with team members and management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and RF awareness training.

Work Environment

The Tower Technician will work outdoors, frequently traveling to job sites and climbing towers to perform repairs and installations. The work environment is physically demanding and requires attention to safety protocols at all times.
