Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laundry Specialist to join our team at Crown Health Care Laundry Services. This is a key role in our linen sorting and preparation process, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Laundry Specialist, you will be responsible for sorting returned, soiled linen into appropriate classifications in preparation for washing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Opening customer returned soil bags (approximately 45 pounds), discarding plastic, and sorting product on a soil belt.
  • Pre-sorting classifications as required, meeting production standards of 45 bags or 2000 pounds opened per hour.
  • Moving empty carts to appropriate areas for cleaning and reuse.

In addition to these core responsibilities, you may also be required to dispose of unusual items, report equipment issues, and tag broken carts for maintenance.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
