Job Title: System Administrator

Join ISD-IS Institutional Services as a System Administrator and become a key member of our team responsible for managing enterprise services for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to work on Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Fusion Middleware products, and Apache Tomcat application servers. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering middleware applications servers, installing commercially off-the-shelf (COTS) applications, and custom applications. Additionally, the candidate will participate in the administration of customer solutions for the present and the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer middleware applications servers with limited training and supervision.
  • Install and configure COTS and custom applications.
  • Perform application server patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Use a support ticket system (Jira and ServiceNow).
  • Work professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers to maintain a successful work environment and complete mission.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of four years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Oracle Linux virtual machines.
  • Experience or familiarity with Oracle Fusion Middleware products, such as Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Internet Directory (OID), Oracle HTTP Server (OHS), Oracle Forms & Reports administration or concepts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of middleware application servers (example: Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, Red Hat JBoss/WildFly or IBM WebSphere).

Clearance
