The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a dedicated professional to support the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain good public relations with members and always represent the best interests of the YMCA.
  • Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
  • Greet and assist all members, potential members and staff in a courteous, professional and friendly manner.
  • Assist with basic membership transactions.
  • Respond to members' needs. Contact appropriate personnel when necessary and notify supervisor of unusual situations. Handle complaints in a courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • You know how to give great customer service.
  • You have at least two years of customer service, sales, or related experience (preferred).
  • You have excellent written and oral skills.
  • You are comfortable with computers and office equipment.
  • You are proactive and know how to get things done.
  • You have a positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations.
  • Able and willing to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on the first day and other online and in-person training as required.
