Job Title: Retirement Services Officer

At Patriot Enterprises LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retirement Services Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the Retirement Services program, focusing on the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) for military personnel and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective support for service members and their families as they prepare for retirement.
  • Manage the implementation of the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), providing guidance and resources to service members regarding options and enrollment.
  • Conduct workshops and briefings on retirement benefits and SBP to educate service members on available entitlements.
  • Develop and distribute educational materials related to retirement services and SBP, ensuring clear communication of options and processes.
  • Collaborate with military departments, veteran organizations, and external agencies to facilitate access to retirement services and resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided and monitor retiree satisfaction with the support received.
  • Prepare reports on retirement statistics and program effectiveness for management review.
  • Stay informed about updates to military policies and procedures regarding retirement services to ensure compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in the delivery of retirement services and SBP management.
  • Advocate for the needs of retiring personnel within the military community, representing their interests in meetings and discussions with leadership.
  • Facilitate communication between retiring personnel and various support organizations to ensure that their needs are met during the transition.
  • Assist service members in navigating healthcare options, including TRICARE and other medical benefits, ensuring they understand enrollment processes and eligibility.
  • Provide support for financial literacy, helping service members understand their retirement pay, pensions, and any other financial resources available to them.
  • Coordinate with local community organizations and resources to connect retirees with additional support services, such as housing, employment, or educational opportunities.
  • Organize community outreach events and programs to promote available resources and engage with the retiree population.
  • Train and support new staff members in retirement services policies and procedures, ensuring a knowledgeable and capable team.
  • Stay engaged with professional development opportunities related to retirement services, attending workshops and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor compliance with military regulations related to retirement services and SBP, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
