Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Officer to join our team at 1st Class Security, Inc.

Estimated Salary: $20.00 per hour, including insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shoplifting Prevention: Conduct thorough floor patrols and utilize Closed Circuit TV to identify and apprehend shoplifters.
  • Report Writing: Accurately document incidents and maintain detailed records.
  • Liaison with Law Enforcement: Establish effective relationships with local law enforcement agencies for assistance as needed.
  • Courtroom Testimony: Provide professional testimony in court proceedings.
Requirements
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Physical Demands: Sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours without difficulty.
  • Reliable Transportation: Possess a reliable vehicle for transportation to work and other job-related activities.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly articulate thoughts and ideas through verbal and written communication.
  • Accurate Reporting: Maintain accurate and legible reports of incidents and events.
  • Assertiveness and Control: Demonstrate assertive yet controlled behavior in confrontational situations.
  • Trustworthiness and Independence: Work with minimal supervision while maintaining trustworthiness and reliability.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Regularly attend scheduled shifts and maintain excellent punctuality.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (minimum), with previous loss prevention experience preferred but not required.
  • Criminal Justice Studies: Possess knowledge of Criminal Justice or related studies (desired).
