About the Role

Lendlease Singapore is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the Project Management & Construction team in delivering a range of projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects from a Safety, Quality, Time, and Cost perspective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, building officials, local businesses, and authorities.
  • Drive a culture of safety and quality throughout the project workforce and lead by example.
  • Develop and implement project execution strategies and provide leadership and guidance to the project team.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering design management and design consultants to ensure constructability, construction methodology, and value engineering considerations.
Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S)
  • Take ultimate accountability for the team's EH&S performance and lead by example.
  • Implement systems and procedures to ensure the workforce operates safely and in accordance with Lendlease's Global Minimum Requirements.
  • Drive a strong safety culture by calling out unsafe acts and praising good safety behavior.
Quality
  • Deliver a facility of high quality and ensure the final product meets or exceeds design requirements.
  • Work closely with the Project Quality Manager to drive a strong quality culture within the team.
  • Ensure the Lendlease team and subcontractors develop a thorough understanding of project specifications and drawings.
Cost and Procurement
  • Implement the project procurement strategy and be accountable for cost management.
  • Participate in tender interviews for major packages and ensure tight coordination between disciplines.
  • Set up budgets and cost reporting procedures for the project.
Schedule
  • Understand the overall project delivery schedule and take accountability for delivery.
  • Ensure the team provides detailed, accurate, and regular status updates on progress against the schedule.
  • Identify schedule concerns and communicate issues with Lendlease Senior Management in a timely manner.
Desired Capabilities
  • Strong leadership skills and proven experience in leading large multi-national and multi-cultural project teams.
  • Good understanding of the life sciences industry.
  • High regard for EH&S culture and practice.
  • Planning, organizing, and analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively on tight deadlines.
Education & Experience
  • Recognized degree in Building, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in leading and delivering successful large-scale Greenfield/Brownfield cGMP projects for tier-1 life sciences clients.
  • Ability to manage multi-discipline design and construction teams.
  • Experience of working in a multi-culture, international environment.
