Job Title: Boom Truck and Crane Operator

Job Summary:
Fort Myer Construction Corporation is seeking a skilled Boom Truck and Crane Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating boom trucks and cranes to lift, move, and place heavy loads and equipment. If you have a strong background in heavy equipment operation and a passion for working in a fast-paced construction environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate boom trucks and cranes to lift, move, and place heavy loads and equipment
• Perform pre-operational inspections and calculate crane capacities and weights to ensure safe operation
• Maintain routine maintenance checks on boom trucks and cranes to ensure optimal performance
• Follow all company and OSHA safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CDL A license required
• Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients
• Excellent team player with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying temperatures, humidity, and weather conditions
• COVID-19 vaccination highly recommended
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screening

Working Conditions:
This job requires the ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat, twist, and climb heavy equipment several times throughout the day. You must also be able to sit for extended periods of time and have the ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools. This job requires the ability to perform essential tasks in less than favorable job conditions, including extreme temperatures, humidity, wind, or other inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time.
