At DAP Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Therapist - Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessments and psychotherapy to clients referred by behavioral health clinicians, primary care providers, case managers, and other DAP Health programs.

About the Role:

  • You will conduct thorough mental health assessments, including DSM-V diagnoses and treatment recommendations, to develop effective treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
  • In this role, you will provide individual, couples, and group therapy sessions for mental health and co-occurring disorders, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and dialectical behavioral therapies.
  • You will maintain accurate documentation for DAP Health and client insurance records, adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
  • When necessary, you will refer clients for psychiatric evaluation, substance abuse evaluation, and intensive outpatient programs, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
  • This position requires the ability to access patient-protected health information and perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • A valid California LCSW license is mandatory, along with American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
  • You should have at least 2 years of experience working as a psychotherapist in a clinical setting, with proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Experience working with individuals who have co-occurring disorders is essential, with a preference for candidates familiar with LGBTQ community and FQHC settings.

Working Conditions:

  • The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 24 pounds and work in an office/clinical setting with frequent sitting, standing, and talking.
  • Occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids may occur in emergency situations.

Compensation: The salary for this position is $75,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience, with opportunities for growth and professional development within the organization.
