Financial Analyst Job Description

As a Financial Analyst, you will join our Business Line Financial Planning and Analysis team responsible for profitability analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, and other financial tasks. Our team assists business leaders in understanding the profitability of various products and loans offered by the Bank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and analyze financial statements and other financial documents to aid management in decision-making.
  • Complete analysis in areas such as cost analysis, profitability, pricing, valuation, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, or reconciliation.
  • Develop resolutions to complex problems requiring creativity, networking, and financial best practices.
  • Prepare financial planning reports, ad hoc analysis reports, economic valuations, and cost-benefit information.
  • Interact with senior finance management and business line leadership across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, or another business-related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, analytics, or forecasting or other directly related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare oral and written reports.
  • Ability to work in a heavily deadline-oriented environment; must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team; works effectively with co-workers and internal customers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a large variety of audiences.
  • Ability to identify, research, coordinate, and resolve issues.
  • Ability to comprehend and develop complex financial models.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, R, or Python required.
  • Experience with Power BI and Business Objects a plus.
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase or similar planning/reporting tool a plus.
