Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transplant Nephrologist to join our team at Emory University School of Medicine. As a key member of our Division of Nephrology, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, conducting research, and contributing to the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a transplant nephrologist in the Emory Transplant Center with an active inpatient and outpatient practice.
  • Maintain an academic appointment in the Renal Division, Department of Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine.
  • Participate in efforts to provide outstanding clinical care, maintain/improve quality and patient safety, access to and management of clinical trials, and developing/refining innovative strategies in the field of adult abdominal transplant surgery.
  • Have particular efforts focused on clinical or basic research, quality improvement, and/or education.
  • Participate in committees, patient selection conference, peer review, present cases in the M&M case conferences, manage patient workups and procedures according department guidelines, and adopt any tools and/or technologies deemed part of the practice of abdominal transplant.
  • Participate in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows and other rotators through the transplant surgery service.

Requirements:

  • Board certified in nephrology.
  • Completion of an AST-accredited Transplant Nephrology Fellowship.
  • A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.
