Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists in the Hospital Pharmacy, ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and prepare pharmaceutical preparations, fill bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and label them accurately.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies, count stock, and maintain inventory records in our computer system.
  • Prepare intravenous (IV) packs using sterile technique under the supervision of the hospital pharmacist.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and glassware according to prescribed methods.
  • Process and file reports, complete forms, and resolve queries related to prescriptions.
  • Fulfill routine prescriptions with prepackaged pharmaceuticals and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current active registration with the State of NJ Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Hospital Pharmacy or relevant area.
