Senior Accounting Professional

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accounting Professional to join our team in the construction industry.
Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000.
Key Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for various financial tasks that contribute to the company's success, including:
- Preparing and maintaining accurate financial reports and records.
- Conducting regular account reconciliations to ensure ledger maintenance and accuracy.
- Analyzing financial statements to identify discrepancies and areas of improvement.
- Reviewing inter-company transactions and generating invoices as necessary.
- Coordinating semi-annual audits and assisting with audit schedules, reports, and data preparation.
- Maintaining ledgers and performing regular reviews.
- Assisting in budget and forecast preparation.
- Contributing to the annual audit process.
- Implementing improvements to accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- A strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with financial statement analysis and a solid grasp of financial metrics.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Experience with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
