Job Responsibilities

As a Heavy Haulage Operator, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials from one location to another. You will plan the most efficient routes, ensure timely deliveries, and perform routine vehicle inspections to maintain a safe and reliable fleet. Your primary duties will include:

  • Pick up materials and goods in one location and transport them to another location.
  • Perform routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Plan the safest and most efficient routes of travel to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain detailed driving logs, including work periods, rest periods, and fuel expenses.
  • Comply with all relevant truck driving laws and regulations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Truck Driver or similar role.
  • A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a minimum of two years' experience.
  • Familiarity with GPS systems, CB radios, and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technology.
  • An understanding of all relevant truck driving laws and regulations.
  • A clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • A willingness to travel regularly and drive long distances.
