We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Transfer Center team in Wisconsin. As an RN, you will play a critical role in facilitating patient transfers into SSM Health from other healthcare facilities, physician offices, and clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and track hospital transfers while providing exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with facilities to obtain medical and administrative approvals
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and facility staff to ensure seamless transitions
- Maintain accurate databases and documentation for transferred patients
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements, including EMTALA
Requirements:
- Five years of registered nurse experience in acute care hospital settings
- Graduate of accredited nursing school or equivalent education for licensure
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
