We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Aide Specialist to join our team at Volare Health LLC. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate administration of medications to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Medication Aide Specialist is a critical role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our nursing staff to provide high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical and psychosocial well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians, accurately recording administration and noting any adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Monitor residents' symptoms and conditions, reporting any concerns to the Staff Nurse.
  • Determine and record the effectiveness of medications in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide resident rights advocacy during medication administration, ensuring respect and dignity.
  • Store medications safely and accurately, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adequate accountability measures are taken when medications are ordered, received, administered, and at shift change.
  • Routinely inspect and clean equipment and supplies to maintain resident safety, reporting any issues to the Staff Nurse.
  • Obtain and record vital signs as needed during medication administration.
Requirements:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with the state and completion of a state-approved Medication Aide - Certification (MA-C) Program.
  • Current C.N.A and Medication Aide certification in the state.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude towards working with long-term care residents and the elderly.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, following oral and written directions.
  • Capacity to assist others, including co-workers.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
