Job Description

**Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Server Product Performance Architect to join our Datacenter System Architecture and Engineering team at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. This role will involve developing world-class products around EPYC processors and collaborating with key customers and internal architects to characterize server system solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform product performance characterization, including power and frequency modeling, and defining product power and performance parameters.
  • Conduct performance characterization of server system solutions using AMD processors, accelerators, network components, and other technologies.
  • Closely work with customers, processor architects, IP and SOC architects, network and IO device architects, application software developers, and system software developers to optimize server system solutions for best performance, power balance, and cost.
  • Work on research and development of next-generation proof-of-concept system designs to continually improve performance and conduct system solution analysis.
  • Influence the shaping of future products and solutions by significantly contributing to system architecture and technology execution throughout the server products.
  • Establish credibility with engineering and leadership counterparts at top technology companies, communicate technical results and positions clearly and accurately, and drive alignment on solutions.

Requirements

  • Detailed understanding of server industry standard busses, such as DDR, PCIe, CXL, SATA, and other high-speed IO protocols.
  • Experience working seamlessly across engineering disciplines and geographies to deliver excellent results.
  • Academic credentials in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or EECS.
  • Experience in Linux Memory Manager, C, and C++ is a plus.
