We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Assistant to join our team at The Little Clinic in Lexington. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

About the Role

The primary focus of this position is to promote health and wellness through diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, preventative medicine, and individualized patient education. You will work closely with our board-certified nurse practitioners or physician assistants, licensed practical nurses, and patient care technicians to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare found in convenient retail settings.

Job Description
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform all necessary administrative tasks, including electronic health record (EHR) documentation, in accordance with company policy.
  • Patient Care: Escort patients to the exam room, collect and document patients chief complaint, medical and medication history in the EHR.
  • Vital Signs and Patient History: Obtain vital signs and patient history and enter the data in the EHR in designated clinics with completed competencies.
  • Clinic Flow: Continue to process patients in the waiting following appropriate clinic flow.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Basic computer skills;
  • Excellent Administrative, Communication, and Organizational Skills; High attention to detail;
  • BASIC MATH SKILLS (i.e., counting, addition, and subtraction);
  • Ability to Work Cooperatively in a Fast-Paced, Team-Based Environment;
  • Excellent Customer Service, Organizational, and Task-Management Skills;
Desired Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • Previous Experience in Retail, Customer Service, or Healthcare;
  • Knowledge of Infection Control Practices;
  • Assist in Maintaining a Safe, Quality-Based, Survey-Ready Healthcare Environment as Required to Maintain Joint Commission Accreditation;
  • Conduct Biometric Screenings;
  • Prepare and Administer Injections and Immunizations Prescribed by the Provider on Duty;
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
