Job Overview

As a Critical Care Medical Specialist at AMR, you will be responsible for providing advanced medical care in emergency situations. This role requires assessing patients' conditions and making informed decisions to ensure effective treatment.

About the Role

You will work as part of a team to respond to emergency calls, utilizing medical equipment and protocols to provide high-quality patient care. Your duties will include communicating with patients and their families, ensuring that they receive the necessary information and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize your medical skills on various equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
  • Act as a team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent, a State Paramedic License, and BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications. Additionally, you should have some work experience, preferably in healthcare, and a valid State Driver's License.
