Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Jackson Memorial Hospital. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests and procedures in the clinical laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various diagnostic analyses, morphologic studies, and quantitative and qualitative determinations on specimen samples.
- Exercise independent judgment in determining accurate test results and recognizing critical values.
- Supervise Laboratory Aides, Assistants, and Technicians as required.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Develop and maintain proficiency in new procedures and techniques.
- Collaborate with other laboratory professionals to ensure seamless workflow and accurate results.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a related field is required; Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
- Valid Florida license as a Medical Technologist in the area of specialty is required.
- ASCP Certification is preferred.
- 1-3 years of related experience is generally required.
