We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Geriatric Care Nurse to join our team at Friendship Village of Dublin. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Job Summary

The Geriatric Care Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting resident information. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting resident information
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each resident
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and services
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of resident care and progress
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers
Requirements
  • CURRENTLY LICENSED TO PRACTICE NURSING IN OHIO REQUIRED
  • At least six (6) months experience in medical or surgical nursing, preferably with geriatric patients; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • General knowledge of the psychosocial and physical problems of the geriatric population required
  • Ability to teach, supervise and motivate nursing staff to ensure appropriate care and rehabilitation
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, be exacting in performance and work well without constant direction
