About the Role

Dorian Tool, a leading manufacturer in East Bernard, TX, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join its team. With a competitive salary of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, this role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.

Job Responsibilities
  • We are looking for a highly skilled individual to follow and enforce safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting colleagues with their duties and responsibilities, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • In addition, you will request programs from the Engineering department and edit them as needed, showcasing your attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • As a key member of our team, you will plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material specifications, and other relevant documents.
  • You will program and set up machines by entering instructions, taking pride in your work and striving for precision.
  • Loading feed mechanisms by lifting stock into position requires a high level of physical fitness and manual dexterity.
  • To verify settings, you will measure positions, inspect first-run parts, and sample work pieces, ensuring that every product meets our high standards.
  • Maintaining specifications involves observing drilling, grooving, and cutting operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools, adhering to quality assurance procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • A strong focus on safety is essential in this role, requiring adherence to safety procedures and regulations at all times.
  • You will also maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, and documenting all actions.
  • Effective communication is crucial in this role, requiring documentation of actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to ensure seamless continuity among work shifts.
  • Up-to-date records of production and quality logs must be maintained, reflecting your commitment to accuracy and precision.
  • To stay ahead of the curve, you will participate in educational opportunities, read technical publications, and update your knowledge regularly.
  • A collaborative approach is essential, requiring ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments, and performing other responsibilities assigned by management.
  • Training and mentoring employees, documenting training records, and conferring with management when needed to resolve problems are additional key aspects of this role.

Physical Demands

This role involves:
