Nurse Specialist for Pediatric Dialysis

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional care to children with end-stage renal disease. As a Nurse Specialist for Pediatric Dialysis, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and contributing to the growth and development of our dialysis program.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Administer and manage dialysis treatments to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the process.
  • Carefully monitor patients' vital signs, laboratory results, and other health indicators to identify any potential issues or complications.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and medical requirements.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, address concerns, and make informed decisions about treatment options.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on dialysis-related topics, such as treatment procedures, medication management, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatment outcomes, and progress notes.

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care or dialysis setting.
  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
  • BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association.
  • Dialysis experience preferred, but not required.
