Dialysis Operations Manager Healthcare Professional

About this role:
As a Clinical Manager with Fresenius Medical Care, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dialysis facilities. This includes managing costs, processes, and staffing to ensure quality patient care is delivered while maintaining clinical standards.

As a Clinical Manager, you may advance your career into an Area Team Lead or Director of Operations role.

Job responsibilities:
- Manage clinic operations, including costs, processes, staffing, and quality standards.
- Lead and develop direct reports through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as Human Resources, Quality, and Technical Services.
- Maintain accurate medical and operations records and comply with data collections and auditing activities.
- Accountable for completion of annual reviews and ICD coding.
- Oversee financial management, including supply utilization and regular profit/loss review.
- Responsible for network reporting and site surveys.
Patient care responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care with staff members from admission to discharge.
- Ensure patient education on quality measures, transplant options, modality awareness, and access care.
- Act as a resource for patients and families addressing concerns and questions.
- Complete timely patient care assessments and care plans.
- Develop action plans for missed treatments and manage patient schedules efficiently.
- Plan, coordinate, and validate patient eligibility for treatment.
- Report changes in patient status regarding clinical, insurance, or travel issues.
Staff management:
- Participate in new hire selection and orientation.
- Ensure staff completes required training and maintains licensures/certifications.
- Provide support and encourage professional growth for clinical staff.
- Maintain knowledge of company benefits, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Conduct employee evaluations and establish annual goals.
- Document disciplinary actions and confer with HR when necessary.
- Manage staff scheduling and payroll.
Physician relationships:
- Facilitate physician privilege applications and compliance with Medical Staff By-Laws.
- Establish strong physician relationships through regular communication.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams governing policies.
Education and qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN).
- Current state licensure.
Required experience and skills:
- 6+ years of business operations experience in a healthcare facility.
- 12 months of clinical nursing experience.
- 6 months of chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience.
- Pass the Ishihara Color Blind Test.
Salary: $74,000 - $123,000 per year.
