About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate psychiatrist to join our team at Psychology Specialists of Maine. As an outpatient psychiatrist, you will be responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations and assessments, providing ongoing treatment and medication management, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing psychiatric treatment and medication management to patients with a wide range of mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility for certification in psychiatry.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Completion of residency training in psychiatry.
  • Experience in providing outpatient psychiatric services is preferred.
