Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Department of Communication, Language, and Literature at Northwest Nazarene University. As a key member of our department, you will provide administrative support to our faculty, manage departmental operations, and contribute to the success of our students and programs.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an administrative role, excellent communication and writing skills, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also be familiar with graphic design software, such as Canva, and have experience creating promotional materials and presentations.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our faculty and staff to plan and execute department events, manage budgets, and develop marketing materials. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, updating our departmental web pages, and providing exceptional customer service to our students, faculty, and staff.

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $35,000 to $45,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. In addition, you will have access to our comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to the department, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.
* Manage departmental budgets, including tracking expenses and preparing financial reports.
* Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our department and programs.
* Plan and execute department events, including coordinating logistics and promoting the events through social media and other channels.
* Maintain accurate records, including student records, departmental minutes, and other documents.
* Provide exceptional customer service to our students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements:
* 2+ years of experience in an administrative setting
* Excellent communication and writing skills
* Familiarity with graphic design software, such as Canva
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
