About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Research Nurse I-Oncology to join our team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating positive outcomes of safety and quality for patients enrolled on adult oncology clinical trials at the NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center. This role requires strong nursing skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare colleagues across all units and departments to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Conduct thorough research screening visits for potential trial participants, including assessments and documentation in the EPIC electronic health record.
  • Recruit, enroll, and retain patients on clinical trials while ensuring patient safety and protocol fidelity.
  • Prepare for and oversee the safe conduct of study treatment visits per protocol.
  • Provide patients with a thorough explanation of the trial prior to obtaining informed consent and ongoing education throughout their participation.
Requirements

To qualify, you must have a BSN, New York RN licensure, and BLS. A minimum of 1+ years of nursing experience in oncology research or oncology nursing is required. Computer literacy, excellent analytical, interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills are essential. Adaptability, independence, and collaboration are also key attributes for this role.

The estimated salary for this position is $110,000 - $135,000 annually. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
