As a Speech Language Pathologist at Soar, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Our team is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based services that cater to the unique needs of each child and their family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD.
- Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans to improve communication skills of children aged 2-6, utilizing a variety of therapeutic strategies and tools.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to provide holistic care.
- Engage families in the therapeutic process, providing education, resources, and support to enhance their child's communication development.
- Continuously monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
- License to practice speech pathology in the state of your chosen center (i.e., Arizona or Colorado).
- Preference to SLPs with 3+ years of experience, but also open to new SLPs starting their career.
- Prior experience with AAC or interest in learning from our clinical teams.
- Embody a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young children.
