About the JobWe are seeking an experienced Principal DCS Systems Engineer to join our team at Cameron LNG LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our process control systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DCS system engineering, programming, and diagnostics, as well as experience with safety instrumented systems, emergency shutdown systems, and control maintenance services capital planning and execution.
Responsibilities- Oversee the process controls systems from an engineering perspective, ensuring all design modifications or additions are performed professionally and in accordance with company procedures and code compliances.
- Assure all planning, scheduling, and managing of process control engineering activities, ESD, and SIS activities related to plant facilities are coordinated and performed safely and efficiently.
- Provide daily process control, SIS, and ESD support to the plant to ensure operational continuity.
- Improve and ensure the reliability and integrity of the SIS, ESD, and process control systems.
- Optimize the SIS, ESD, SIL, and process controls systems for efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, or Chemical discipline preferred).
- Minimum 14 years of direct DCS experience required; and a minimum of 4+ years of experience in a similar position of responsibility and expertise in an operating LNG Liquefaction facility preferred.
- Prior experience with DeltaV control systems and Rockwell PLC systems preferred. Experience with GE Mark-VI is desired.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting and analysis of instrumentation and process control system problems.
